21st Amendment founders Nico Freccia and Shaun O’Sullivan traveled to Belgium to develop the recipe for this special beer, visiting small, traditional breweries in the hop fields of west Flanders, not far from the famous Trappist abbey of Westvletren.

This brew is dry hopped with Citra hops from our friends in Yakima at Hop Union.  The kettle additions of Citra hops, brings this brew in at a whopping 75 IBUs and the hops flavors are much more pronounced with citrusy hints of pineapple, orange etc.  This version is also loaded with malt flavors with plenty of crystal malt, medium to full bodied and deep copper colored.

Samuel Adams® Latitude 48 IPA is a unique IPA brewed with a select blend of hops from top German, English, and American growing regions all located close to the 48^th latitude within the “hop belt” of the Northern Hemisphere.  The combination of hops in this beer creates a distinctive but not overpowering hop character.  The beer is dry hopped with Ahtanum, Simcoe®*, and East Kent Goldings hops for a powerful citrus and earthy aroma.  The hop character is balanced by a slight sweetness and full body from the malt blend.
